Antenatal Classes

River Ridge East Birth Centre antenatal classes provide expectant mothers and their partners with confidence in the experience of pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenting.

Antenatal classes are run by Maternal Journey and held at RREBC. They provide expectant mothers, partners and family/whanau with confidence in the experience of pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting.

Maternal Journey is an information, education and support service, working with families through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

They offer a range of services, from antenatal courses, parenting workshops and breastfeeding support through to pregnancy and postnatal massage, physiotherapy and exercise sessions.

Tours of River Ridge East Birth Centre and Waikato Womens Hospital are included in the classes.

• Understanding labour and birth
• Medical Intervention and Obstetrics
• Breastfeeding
• Life with a newborn

Course facilitators

Maternal Journey Childbirth Educators are experienced in antenatal education, and hold excellent standards of knowledge, presentation skills and dedication to quality information provision.

Treatments available:

Pregnancy massage
Relaxation and Therapeutic massage throughout your pregnancy, enhancing wellness and comfort, alongside preparing your body.

Course fee: $80

Monday–Thursday
7PM–9PM
6 week courses

Weekend Courses
10AM–4PM
One or two days

It is recommended to register early as antenatal courses fill quickly.
